The Fundraising Summer School is dedicated to providing a diverse, egalitarian, welcoming, and harassment-free environment and experience for everyone, regardless of sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or ethnicity, nerotype, atheism, or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Participants (including delegates , staff, sponsors and speakers) violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from The Fundraising Summer School without a refund at the discretion of Ask Direct and Charities Institute Ireland.
The Fundraising Summer School values and encourages robust debate and discussion of the issues raised during Summer School. We expect that all such debate be carried out in a respectful and dignified manner. In particular, we will not tolerate any harassment or abuse of speakers, staff or delegates.
Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to sex, gender, age, sexual orientation, nerotype, disability, physical appearance, body size, race or ethnicity, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention.
Participants asked to stop any harassing behaviour are expected to comply immediately.
Sponsor and exhibitors are also subject to the anti-harassment policy. In particular, exhibitors should not use sexualised images, activities, or other material.
If a participant engages in harassing behaviour, Ask Direct and Cii may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from The Fundraising Summer School with no refund.
If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of staff immediately. Staff can be identified as they'll be wearing branded materials.
Staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or GardaĆ, provide escorts, or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of The Fundraising Summer School. We value your attendance.
We expect participants to follow these rules at Summer School and at Summer School related social events.
